A total of 855 new infections of covid-19 were reported this Wednesday, September 1, according to the sector vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez
He specified that of that figure 37 are imported infections from: 2 from Panama; 10 from the Dominican Republic; 10 from Turkey; and 5 from Spain.
It reported that community cases were detected in Caracas (256), Cojedes (182), Miranda (149), Lara (60), Yaracuy (40), La Guaira (38), Mérida (35), Aragua (16), Carabobo (13), Anzoátegui (9), Zulia (9), Barinas (3), Monagas (3), Guárico (2), Portuguesa (1), Nueva Esparta (1), Delta Amacuro (1).
The entity with the highest number of infections is Caracas, with active cases in 20 of its 22 parishes: El Valle (50), Altagracia (37), Caricuao (23), San Pedro (22), Sucre (19), January 23 (13), Santa Teresa (13), San Juan (12), La Vega (12), San Agustín (9), Santa Rosalía (9), El Paraíso (7), El Recreo (6), El Junquito (5 ), Car (5), Antímano (4), La Candelaria (3), La Pastora (2), San Bernardino (1), Cathedral (1).
Náñez indicated that 13 people died as a result of the disease. They are 3 men 55, 56, 71 years old and 2 women 62, 70 years old from Aragua; 2 47-year-old men and 1 60-year-old from Anzoátegui; 2 men of 63, 78 years and 1 woman of 82 years of Caracas; 1 76-year-old man from Mérida, 1 79-year-old man from Yaracuy.
The figure reported this Wednesday brings the accumulated cases to date to 336.088, of which 320 patients have been recovered, representing a recovery rate of 400%.
To date 6.876 patients are asymptomatic, 3.803 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 793 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 177 in the Intensive Care Unit
