Empowering Women – Cindy Monroe Teaches Women to Flourish in Family and Business

More women are stepping into the entrepreneurial world, but running a successful business while caring for a family can be nerve-racking. It requires immense energy, organization, and dedication. These high-achieving women are looking for insights on how to flourish at both work and home.

Cindy Monroe, founder of Thirty-One Gifts, is a successful wife, mother of two, and entrepreneur, and now she’s dedicated to helping other women trust that yes, you can have it all, with a proper strategy, actionable tools, and belief in your potential.

Monroe followed her entrepreneurial spirit and started a company in the basement of her Chattanooga, Tennessee, home in 2003. What started as a small business transformed into an international women-run corporation with products ranging from vibrant-colored tote bags to jewelry, decor, and more.

Naming it Thirty-One Gifts, Monroe paid homage to the Proverbs 31 woman in the Bible, who was wise, dignified, and a hard worker. “I didn’t want the company to be about Cindy Monroe. I wanted it to be about others—other women, specifically,” says Monroe.

Her company went on to do this exactly, empowering women to thrive in business while being surrounded by a supportive sisterhood. During her time as CEO, the company reached nearly $800 million in sales, with over 100,000 independent consultants across the U.S. and Canada.

Monroe seeks to instill a consciousness in women – that they are worthy of having it all and can excel in multiple roles.

Through her roles as an author, podcast host, leadership mentor, and Thirty-One executive chairwoman, Monroe continues her mission to empower women. Her podcast, Permission to Lead with Cindy Monroe, gives women in leadership insights they can apply at work and home.

“I’m here to help you give yourself permission. Permission to achieve even more, to flourish in business and family—all while finding strategies that work for you,” says Monroe.
