EU backs radical opposition’s decision to participate in elections

After the radical Venezuelan opposition decided to participate in the regional elections in November, the European Union (EU) welcomed that decision on Wednesday, while reiterating that they are studying the possibility of sending an observation mission.

The high representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, will pronounce this September to determine the position that the bloc of countries will assume regarding the Venezuelan regional elections.
